How to sync Airbnb and Booking.com calendars
If the same place is on Airbnb and Booking.com, each platform has to know when the other one is booked. Both offer a free way to do it: calendar links (iCal). One platform publishes a link with its booked dates; the other reads it every so often and closes those dates.
What you need
Your listing on both platforms, and 10 minutes. You connect the link in both directions: Airbnb → Booking.com and Booking.com → Airbnb.
1. Copy Airbnb’s link into Booking.com
- On Airbnb: Calendar › choose the listing › Availability › Connect calendars › Export calendar. Copy the link (it ends in .ics).
- On the Booking.com extranet: Rates & Availability › Sync calendars › Import calendar. Paste Airbnb’s link and give it a name, e.g. “Airbnb”.
2. Copy Booking.com’s link into Airbnb
- On the Booking.com extranet: Rates & Availability › Sync calendars › Export calendar. Copy the link.
- On Airbnb: Calendar › the listing › Availability › Connect calendars › Import calendar. Paste it and name it “Booking.com”.
Menu names change from time to time. If you can’t find them, search the platform’s help for “sync calendars”.
How fast it updates
Not instantly. Each platform decides when it reads the other’s link, usually every 30 minutes to 3 hours. A booking made on Booking.com at 10:00 can still be open on Airbnb until about 13:00.

What calendar links don’t do
They only carry “booked / not booked”. Prices, minimum stays, guest names and messages stay on each platform and must be changed there.
When two links are not enough
With a third platform (Vrbo), direct bookings, or apartments that are also sold together as one property, the links multiply: every listing must read every other one. That is where one shared calendar helps.
